Use greenhouse batten tape to staple poly film to your wood framing.
It is a 3/4" wide white vinyl stapling tape and you should place staples about every 1-1/2".
You can use an Arrow type of stapler found at your local hardware store, and use 1/2" ceiling tile staples.
